In 2007, storyteller and BeadforLife Community Partner volunteer, Connie Regan-Blake, was invited to Uganda to capture the stories of some of our earliest members. While there, she was welcomed into their homes and hearts, already a part of their families. She spent hours of her days closely listening to their profound and transformative stories. One such inspirational story she brought home with her is that of Namakasa Rose.
We’re excited to let you know that Connie will be sharing Namakasa Rose’s story, which she’s titled “Brush the Dirt from My Heart,” next Wednesday August, 1st at 8pm CDT, as a part of the JustStories Festival. The festival is happening online and can be watched from here. There will be a Q&A session after the storytelling, so you’ll need a Facebook account if you’d like to make comments or ask any questions. The festival hopes to have people from around the world listening to three days of stories and discussing racial harmony, diversity, connections, etc.

I hope it was a great event. The more impact stories we can get out the better for Fair Trade.
