Dressed in casual clothes, Allen gets up very early to go to work at her brick making business. She greets her 4 employees with a wide smile as they load a truck with red bricks to be delivered to a waiting customer.
3 years ago Allen’s husband passed away, leaving her with 3 children and infected with HIV. She lived in a rundown mud house and her children did not go to school. Because of her inner strength and self drive, She worked two jobs to try make ends meet but with little success. She served food in a restaurant and carried bricks on a construction site which put together, only earned her 1500 shs (75cents)a day
She was overjoyed on receiving her first payment from Beadforlife and vowed never to be poor again. After two more sales she took her children to school, rented a better house and started saving most of her money.
From her savings, Allen started a brick making business. She managed to put a down payment on her house, from savings, she made out of bead sales and her business. Now Allen is a proud owner of 2 businesses and a house in friendship village. She boasts of her good health and success all of which she owes to Beadforlife.
